"Conductor Paul van Gulick composed some years ago a composition inspired by the famous Piétà by Michelangelo. (...) The beautiful poem written by the South-African poet Elisabeth Eybers gives an extra emotional dimension to it. The music fits her poem perfectly (...) The choir performed the composition very well. Honorable invitation

Paul van Gulick conducted his compositions in Chernigov on invitation of the Dutch Embassy in Kiev. The invitation was an initiative by conductor Mikola Sukach and his Academic Philharmonic Symphony orchestra. Paul has performed his Requiem, Divertimento, Paradisal Journeys and the first part out of his Oratorio "Apocalypse of Angers" (first performance) with great success.
