Joint projects with Krasnoyarsk

First contacts
In 1996 Paul van Gulick first got acquainted with musicians from Krasnoyarsk and he was invited to set up a project choir in order to perform the ‘Grande Messe des Morts' by Hector Berlioz during the West-Brabant Music Festival. The Chamber Choir ‘Tebe Pojem', conducted by Jacobson, joined this project choir. The Krasnoyarsk musicians kept in touch with Paul van Gulick and in 1998 he was invited to conduct several performances of Verdi's "Requiem' with the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra.

Exchange
Following the pleasant initial cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk orchestra and musicians, Paul van Gulick was invited to come to Krasnoyarsk with his Chamber Choir BonTon. There, they performed in several concerts and they joined a performance of Haydn's ‘Creation'. Later on, Paul van Gulick conducted Haydn's ‘Seasons' in Krasnoyarsk. Also, he gave a series of masterclasses in Krasnoyarsk. Together with Chamber Choir BonTon, he then invited Chamber Choir ‘Academia' and their conductor Tatiana Korotkova to The Netherlands...
