Shakespeare Song (1998)

In 1998, during one of his trips to Krasnoyarsk, Paul met Anna Gitsjik, a soprano soloist working for the State Opera. He dedicated this song, based on a poem from "The Passionate Pilgrim" by Shakespeare, as an everlasting remembrance to a soprano with whom Paul performed the opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" in the Opera House of Krasnoyarsk. Since that time he has lost contact with her.

Honorable invitation

Paul van Gulick conducted his compositions in Chernigov on invitation of the Dutch Embassy in Kiev. The invitation was an initiative by conductor Mikola Sukach and his Academic Philharmonic Symphony orchestra. Paul has performed his Requiem, Divertimento, Paradisal Journeys and the first part out of his Oratorio "Apocalypse of Angers" (first performance) with great success.
